Every user has a personal profile where they can post a bio, maintain a buddy list, and share their favorites. Once a profile is created, users can easily connect with others that share similar interests.
Users can easily create blog entries, share pictures, and upload videos. Further, Civixx includes robust privacy options, enabling users to determine who can view each piece of content they publish.
Each blog, photo, and video can be endorsed by viewers through Civixx's voting feature. Users can then browse the most popular content over the past 24 hours, 7 days, or all-time.
Each piece of content can be assigned tags (keywords that describe it). Content with the same tags is then aggregated, enabling users to search for content relating to specific topics.
Users are able to network with others that share the same interests. Additionally, through integration with Google Maps, users are able to search for people in a selected geographic region.
With a WYSIWYG editor, the Civixx platform eliminates the complexities of wiki software and allows anyone to share news, links, and multimedia relating to topics of interest.
Civixx makes most content available in both RSS and Atom format so users can keep up-to-date via their favorite news readers. The user inbox, blogs, and tags are all available via Civixx's built-in feeds.
Your community should be tightly integrated with your existing Web presence. Thus, Civixx offers widgets that enable you to cut and paste elements of your online community into other parts of your site.
